Overview of Proposed Changes 

This is a Material Change to the Current Policy. Material Changes include those that affect the university’s position, commitment, or spirit of the policy, because of changes in business principles, practices, or relevant laws and regulations. Revisions have been made to the accompanying procedures, newly named "Disability Accommodation Review and Appeal Procedure," which streamline the process, including the creation of the Disability Accommodation Review and Appeal Procedure Form, but keep the spirit of the existing Grievance Procedure the same. 

The feedback period will remain open until April 20, 2026. 

How to Provide Feedback on this Policy Draft

We invite all current Faculty, Postdocs, Staff, and Students to provide feedback on this policy draft.

You can view the Draft Policy above, which is hosted on our GW Box system and requires you to log in to access the proposed changes.

To send feedback, select the "Provide Feedback on this Policy" button above. This will direct you to the myGW portal to submit. This will also require you to log in using your GW credentials. Based on learning from feedback received while a more permanent policy review process is finalized, the university has modified the form hosted within myGW to hone in on the type of feedback you are proposing to assess the scope and central themes more fully.
