Dorinda Tucker, Associate Vice President & Data Privacy Officer (she/her/hers)
Dorinda Tucker serves as the Associate Vice President for Ethics, Compliance, and Risk and is the Data Privacy Officer for the university. She is responsible for leading the Ethics and Compliance Program and the Enterprise Risk Management Program as well as managing the Internal Audit outsourced engagement. As the Data Privacy Officer, she leads the university's Privacy Office in regulation compliance and personal information data protection programs. Dorinda has 30+ years of experience working in areas of risk management, financial operations, and compliance serving higher education, corporate, and government industries, and has extensive experience engaging with c-suite executives and trustees in complex environments. Prior to joining the George Washington University, Dorinda spent 20 years in management at IBM supporting the federal marketplace, primarily focused on operational improvement, compliance and controls, and business transformation. Dorinda is a double alum from the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA. She is also a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
Ashley Fountaine, Executive Director of Ethics and Compliance (she/her/hers)
Ashley Fountaine serves as the Director of Ethics and Compliance for the Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Risk. Some of her core responsibilities include overseeing the annual policy review process and conflict of interest disclosure process, report submissions through the EthicsPoint Hotline, the University Compliance Network, and other cross-institutional working groups and compliance functions as needed. Ashley has a strong background in compliance in higher education, previously serving as the Academic Affairs and Policy Specialist in the Office of the Provost at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and the Assistant Director of Community Standards at UConn. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Sciences and Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs at UConn and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
Aaron Howell, Senior Compliance Associate (he/him/his)
Aaron Howell serves as a Senior Compliance Associate within the Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Risk. Prior to starting in this role, Aaron worked at GW in Conflict Education & Student Accountability (formerly named Student Rights & Responsibilities) within the Division for Student Affairs. He previously worked in student conduct administration for over four years before transitioning to the field of Compliance and Ethics. Preceding his professional journey, Aaron earned a Master’s of Education Degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from UNC Greensboro, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Winthrop University. In his free time, Aaron likes to be outdoors, exploring the Washington region, watching a show on Netflix, and listening to his favorite artist, Adele. Aaron is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).

Julia Duff, Senior Compliance Associate (she/her/hers)
Julia Duff serves as a Senior Compliance Associate within the Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Risk. Prior to this role, Julia worked in Student Affairs across multiple functional areas. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts from Christopher Newport University where she studied American Studies, with a concentration in Philosophy of Law and Constitutional Studies, and a Master of Arts from Slippery Rock University where she studied Student Affairs in Higher Education. Prior to working in higher education, Julia worked in the field of victims' services, serving as a hotline and shelter advocate for domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking. Outside of work, Julia is a certified yoga teacher, a suicide-intervention trainer, and an involved member of her local community.
