The GW Privacy Office manages the university-wide Privacy Program, which promotes compliance with applicable privacy laws, regulations, and university policies. The GW Privacy Office further works to support and monitor unit-specific privacy compliance, with a focus on protecting the privacy and integrity of data collected, created, stored, and transmitted by the university and its affiliates.
If you or members of your team generate, collect, or process personal information on behalf of the university, are you aware of your responsibilities when a Data Incident (often referred to as a "data breach") occurs?
To assist members of the university community in becoming more familiar with their responsibilities and the university's overall data incident response plan, the GW Privacy Office is hosting a one-hour workshop: "Data Incident - What is it and what should you do about it?." There will be two installments of this workshop. Faculty and staff interested in learning more are encouraged to register below.
