GW recognizes the importance of privacy and protecting the personal data of our students, staff and faculty.
We believe it is important that all individuals who collect, use, store, or process personal information on behalf of the university should have a good understanding of the governing privacy laws and regulations.

The Privacy Office offers various resources to help students, staff and faculty learn about privacy.

Class Training and Workshops

Privacy Training and Workshops are scheduled throughout the year.  These sessions are open to all faculty, staff and students and aim at helping the GW community become more fluent in privacy principles, regulations and policies.

Check out our Events page for a list of scheduled training sessions.

Online Training

                                           Online Training

Online privacy regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, GDPR) training modules are available to the GW community.

These modules are designed to train GW students, staff and faculty who handle personal information in the essentials of privacy.

The online training courses are ideal for onboarding and annual training.
